I experienced a lot of unbalanced gameplay again here as my enemies always seemed to one-shot me and I could never ascertain their locations until it was too late, and the penalties for failure are severe. The addition of turn-based combat events at first seemed really innovative, but again falls flat quickly. This makes for very frustrating and stunted gameplay, like the game is trying to be awkward, not challenging. On a daily basis I was not only having cops not show up to work like in the first game, but now they were getting fussy as to who they would not work with and jobs that they would take. You're still in charge of a team of cops on alternating days, but the overwhelming experience I had was of the odds being constantly stacked against me to an unbalanced degree. The gameplay is where they seem to have tried so hard but executed very badly. The story is still told via visual novel, so make sure those graphics are for you. The pictures are more detailed and the turn-based combat has just enough detail to be charming. The city/neighbourhood you oversee now has a lot more detail and feels more modern.
